A letter from a David's Bridal, Bride

October 22, 2008 21:47 by ryan

Hi, my name is Camile and I got married on October 10th!

Now over a week later and with a clear mind I look back and cant help but feel taken by David's Bridal in the Long Beach Town Center.  Not only was it impossible for them to get my dress done correctly each one of my brides maids had problems as well.  Purchasing my dress was a joy at first, but once it was paid for, it was all downhill.  Things started going badly when I go in for my first fitting.  Not only did the people in alterations barely speak english, they were rude and unproffessional.  They made my bridesmaid do the majority of the work, which would be fine if I wasnt paying $160 for that non-sense (which by the way they implied would be free along with cleaning and pressing)  So I decided to go to a diffrent Davids Bridal for my last bridesmaids dress only to have more issues.  The sales lady at Palm Desert Davids Bridal sees two young black females and proceeds to ignore us until she finds out I have already purchased my wedding dress as well as two bridesmaids dresses in Long Beach. All of a sudden she was my best friend. Unfortunatly by then the whole experience was obviously ruined and my sister was no longer in a "lets be friends" mood (which is why I believe the sales lady purposely convinced us to to take the wrong size dress).  It seems strange to me that she would take my sisters measurments, and then put her in the wrong size dress, I mean really.

The last straw for me is when I go to pick up my dress and realize not only was one of my veils missing the lady had taken in the bust when I had asked her not to and she attached the sleeves over the hook where my dress clasped shut!!! I made a point of it to politely complain and express my concern and I am still waiting for something to be done about it. The moral of the story is a large chain does not guarantee you QUALITY or CUSTOMER SERVICE. I Hope that this letter will inspire brides to check out ALL of their options before just settling with Davids Bridal and provoke Davids Bridal to take a serious look at there facilities and their staff.

Camile
