Resident reports mountain lion sighting
A Woodside resident reported seeing a mountain lion walk down a residential driveway on Vintage Court off Mountain Home Road in Woodside shortly after 7 a.m. this morning, said Lt. Ray Lunny of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
The resident told the Sheriff's Office that the lion headed south to open space and has not been seen again, Lt. Lunny said.
The county sent an electronic alert about the lion to the residents in the immediate area.
Experts recommend standing your ground, staying calm, and making yourself look as large as possible when confronting a lion. The lion may just be curious, they say, so give it a chance to leave and don't antagonize it, but look around for possible weapons in the event of an attack.
I think this is better advive
