I had never heard of her till now.  Great paintings.

Yet Cook, who had continued painting until very recently, maintained she did not care about the critical acclaim. She didn't even like to know how much her works sold for because it 'frightened her' and she was so shy she did not even appear at Buckingham Palace to accept an OBE in 1995."
